KidCare International began as a response to a call, which became a challenge, which has turned into a movement of change.
President, Larry Kapchinsky, says:

Founder and President Larry Kapchinsky, Founder and President Larry Kapchinsky is a father and grandfather who cares deeply about the needs of desperately disadvantaged children in the United States and internationally. A graduate of Southern California College in Costa Mesa, California, Larry began teaching school in Bakersfield, California in 1968 where he first felt compelled to help a needy child. A little girl in his class came to school in the dead of winter clad only in a thin, sleeveless dress and sandals. When social services removed the girl from her home, Larry and his wife Janice became foster parents to child and her sister.
